Chip decended not from a line of famous bankers, but from grandparents who owned a hardware store in St. Paul, but lost everything in the great depression, and were fortunate enough (forced) to work on a farm owned by his wife’s family in Green Isle, Minnesota on one side and Minneapolis Gas company (Minnegasco) meter reader who died prematurely at 45 of a heart attack on the other side, he will share how it only got better with a lingerie and bra salesman father and his wife raising six kids in Edina and Dallas, Texas.
Chip's not sure if he’s going to have pictures, but he’s certainly happy to share a few minutes of his families’ history and his life as a former national healthcare and technology lawyer whittling the same down to an essentially solo law practice with a stuttering name of Brink & Brink, Ltd. See you then.

Life Talk
Feb 08, 2023
Born and raised in Phila in a blue collar neighborhood; went to public schools until 9th grade when I got a terrific break and got a scholarship to an outstanding private school both athletically and academically. Played 3 sports and was all-league in basketball and baseball and second team all league in football. Got a another break when I got a scholarship to Colgate University which had a great baseball program at the time, making the NCAA tournament my sophomore yr. and captained the team my senior year. Then two years in sales in Kansas City with the Armstrong Cork Co, interrupted by 6 months active duty in the Marine Corps. Back to Philadelphia for an MBA at the Wharton School. After graduating from Wharton accepted a job with General Mills in marketing and ultimately General Management. Retired at age 56 as President of the Gold Medal Division and a Senior VP of the company. Bought the Duluth Dukes baseball team in 1994 (same league that the St Paul Saints were in until recently becoming a Twins affiliate). Won the Northern Lg Championship in 1997. Sold the team in 2001 |

JoyCollaborative - Creating environments for youth with life-limiting conditions
Apr 12, 2023
Joy Collaborative was inspired by a desire to champion for kids and youth living with conditions that limit their activity and often keep them isolated.
Harnessing the power of design, we create one-of-a-kind "Joy Rooms" that bring delight, enhance independence, create community and foster well-being.
We are a partnership of impassioned doers and givers, including designers, architects, builders, donors, volunteers and sponsors. We come together to transform environments from a place kids have to be to a setting where they — and others — want to be.
In addition to helping individual families, by the end of 2022 Joy Rooms will be accessible to more than 5,000 kids through public spaces and facilities.
Joy Collaborative is a 501©(3). |
